Bill Doose, former Birmingham resident, 82, died on February 1, 2012 in Greenville, South Carolina.

For the past twelve years, Mr. Doose lived in Greenville, South Carolina to be near his family and was for the past several years, a resident of Magnolia Place.

His final days were spent with his daughter to whom he had given so much love.

Born July 12 1928, in Birmingham, Alabama, he was the son of Bertha Frances and Paul Doose.

Mr. Doose served in the United State Marines. In 1953, he married his wife Edna Sturgis Doose,
and worked many years for Rast Construction Company in Birmingham, Alabama.

Bill was a sweet, precious, and loving father and grandfather.

He is survived by his wife, Edna Sturgis Doose, his daughter, Linda McDougald, his sons Billy Ray Doose and Jimmy Patton, and his grandchildren, Chase Hood, Tyler and Connor McDougald, and Christopher Biggs. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Laura Biggs.

Services will be held at Woodlawn Memorial Park Mausoleum in Greenville on Sunday, February 5 at 2:00 p.m.
