Funeral services for Billy Joe Haddox, 81, of Caldwell, Tx. are set for Wednesday, November 17, 2010, at 11:00 AM, at the Strickland Funeral Home Chapel in Caldwell, Tx. Interment will follow at Masonic Cemetery under the care and direction of Strickland Funeral Home of Caldwell. A visitation is scheduled for Tuesday, November 16, 2010, from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m., at Strickland Funeral Home in Caldwell. Mr. Haddox passed away on November 12, 2010 at Burleson St. Joseph's Hospital in Caldwell, Tx. Pallbearers will be Billy Joe Haddox, Lauren Haddox, Jacob Haddox, Dale Freeman, Doug Freeman, and Ken Kendricks. Hororary pallbearers are Sara Haddox, Megan Haddox, Turner Farrell, and Sam Jeffcoat. Billy Joe was born July 30, 1929 to Parrish Haddox and Lola Rhodes Haddox in Caldwell, Texas. He married Doris Collins on October 6, 1950. They were married for almost 59 years before Doris passed away in 2009. Billy Joe was a 50 year member of Warren Masonic Lodge #56, a member of the York Rite, Scottish Rite, and the Orak Shriners. He was also a 50 year member of Ironworkers Local #395 (Retired) Survivors include; sons and daughter-in-law, Billy P. & Sue Haddox, of Caldwell, Robin Haddox of Portage, Indiana, Randy Haddox, daughter; Sheila Thompson, grandchildren; Mary Beth & Brian McCarthy, Billy Joe and Joelle Haddox, Parrish, Lauren, Sara, Jacob, Megan, Matthew, and Scott Haddox, Abby and Andrew Thompson, and great grandson; James Parrish McCarthy. Billy Joe was preceded in death by his wife Doris, his parents, two brothers; Jennings and Sammy Haddox, and two sisters; Eunice Robbins and Ethel Teague.
