Services for Billy Joe Story, 81, of Caldwell, are set for 10:00 a.m., Thursday, October 13, 2011, at Strickland Funeral Home in Caldwell. Interment will follow at Masonic Cemetery. A visitation is scheduled from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, the 12th also at the funeral home. Mr. Story passed away on October 9, 2011 at St. Joseph’s Regional Health Center in Bryan, Texas. Pallbearers will be James Boyd Story, Bill Sims, Rick Simmons, Donnie Duran, Derrick Cox, and Chris Story. Honorary Pallbearers are Marvin Beseda, Ryan Simmons, Justin Story, and Corey Sims. Billy was born December 23, 1929 to James Kiper Story and Jewel Ivy (Rush) Story in Burleson County, Texas. Billy was a member of the SPJST and the VFW. Billy served his country in the United States Army in 1948 and 1949. Billy is survived by his wife Lillie Mae (Paul) Story, daughters and sons-in-law, Barbara and Rick Simmons of College Station, Betty and David Weiss of Montgomery, Bonnie Story and Donnie Duran of Caldwell; eight grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, his son, Billy James Story; brother, James Ed Story; grandson Jason Allen Story; and granddaughter Robin Amber Simmons.
