Billy was born on October 15, 1939 and passed away on Friday, July 13, 2012.
Billy was a resident of Hamlet, North Carolina at the time of his passing.
He was a Veteran that served proudly with the United States Navy.
He is survived by his wife Jane.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 17, 2012 at the Richard Boles Funeral Service Chapel officiated by Rev. J.W. Williams and Rev. Woody Byrd. Burial will follow at Peele's Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Monday, July 16, 2012 at Richard Boles Funeral Service.
The family request that memorial gifts be made in memory of Mr. Herndon to Peele's Chapel Wesleyan Church, 20781 McEachin Road, Laurel Hill, NC 28351 .
