Brighton - Mrs. Blanche A. (Wesolawski) Sullivan, of Brighton, died Friday, January 29, 2010 in the Lahey Clinic Medical Center in Burlington. She was 88. Blanche was born in Needham on November 4, 1921, a daughter of the late Felix and Elizabeth (Kairis) Wesolawski. She was raised in Needham and graduated from Needham High School, Class of 1940. Blanche and her family moved to Brighton in 1954. She and her late husband, John J. Sullivan, were married in Saint Peter's Lithuanian Church in South Boston and were married for forty-seven years until John's death in 1987. The same year she retired after working for 35 years as a mill worker at Sherman Paper/St. Regis Paper in Newton Upper Falls. Blanche is survived by her sons, John J. Sullivan of Brighton, Ret. MSP Major Kenneth E. Sullivan and his wife, Roberta, of Wendell, and Thomas J. Sullivan and his wife, Patricia, of Waltham; her grandsons, Ryan Sullivan of Boston and Jonathan and Christopher Sullivan both of Waltham; her sister-in-law, Patricia Ronan of Quincy, and many nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Nellie Coady, Joseph, Felix, Anthony, and John Wesolawski. Family and friends will honor and remember Blanche's life by gathering for calling hours in The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte. 20), Waltham on Monday from 4 to 8 p.m. and again at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday morning before leaving in procession to Mary Immaculate of Lourdes Church, 270 Elliot Street, Newton Upper Falls where her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow in Saint Mary's Cemetery in Needham. Memorial donations may be made to the Haitian Relief Fund, c/o Partners in Health, P.O. Box 845578, Boston, MA 02284-5578.
