Bobby Lynn Thompson, 77, of Searcy, passed away Monday, January 28 in Memphis, Tennessee. He was born July 6, 1935 in Austin, Arkansas, the son of Alfred and Cumi Thompson.
He is survived by his wife, Claudia Thompson of Searcy; children Lyndon Thompson (Jane) and their four children of Mundelein, Illinios, Teresa Staley (William) of Bremerton, Washington, Janice Hofmeister (Monte) and their three children of Columbus, Indiana, June Thompson of Austin Texas, and Glen Thompson of Irving, Texas; step-children, Billy Sewell (Cherie), Anita Bailey (Scott), and Mary Lawrence (Michael); a brother, Henry Thompson (Dorothy Faye); and several nieces and nephews and other relatives. He is preceded in death by his parents and his first wife, Mary Joyce Thompson.
Visitation will be Thursday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Powell Funeral Home of Searcy. Funeral services will be Friday at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association. Committal service and interment will be Saturday at Davenport Memorial Park, Davenport, Iowa at 11:00 a.m.
