Bonnie died at home peacefully in her sleep just days before her 54th birthday. She was born in Pahala, Hawaii, with Downs Syndrome and through her disability gifted those who knew and loved her, lessons in how beautiful special needs children truly are. She moved to Stockton with her family when she was two years old. Bonnie attended the Activity Center for many years and enjoyed bowling with the VSP League. She loved dancing and was a member of the A.C. Twirlers. Bonnie was survived by her adoring sister, Barbara DeLeon and younger brother, Douglas Skelly and many loving nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Rena Skelly and sisters, Nancy Wright and Wallis Young.
Family and friends are invited to attend a celebration of her life at DeYoung Memorial Chapel, 601 N. California St., Stockton, CA on Friday, October 21, 2011 at 1:00 p.m.
There will be visitation at DeYoungs on Thursday, 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Burial will be at Cherokee Memorial Park, Lodi, CA
