Bonnie S Cain 78, of Hot Springs, passed away Sunday, Jan 29, 2012 in St Joseph's
Mercy Medical Center surrounded by family and friends. She was born to George and Iva Lee Overby on July 22, 1933 in Plainview, AR.
Bonnie was a graduate of Hot Springs High School and was a retired telephone operator from SBC (AT&T). She was a charter member of Hot Springs Baptist Church and enjoyed Razorback football and basketball, spending time with her family and friends and collecting Coca-Cola memorabilia.
She was predeceased by her parents, her beloved husband Loyd C Cain, her eldest son Richard J Cain and her brother Bobby Overby.
Survivors include one son Michael L Cain of Berkeley, CA; Grandchildren Nicholas and Deidra Cain of Hot Springs, Zachary and Brett Cain of Winston-Salem, NC; Two Great Grandchildren Ella Cain and Leighton Cain. One sister, Betty Wells; two sisters-in-law Shirley Cain Warren and Pamela Cain Murray; two brothers-in-law Doyle Cain and Hal Murray. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Services will be held at 1pm, Thursday, February 2 at Gross Funeral Home with Rev Manley Beasley, Jr officiating. Visitation will be held Wednesday, February 1 from 6:00pm-8:00pm at Gross Funeral Home. Burial will be at Lowe Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Don Dale, Bruce Warren, Chris Murray, Jeff Carpenter, Brett Duncan and Keith Dale.
Honorary pallbearers are Joann and Jim Hendrixson, Bernell Caldwell, Joy and Jim Alford, Jimmie and Wayne Tabor, Martha King, Diane Thompson, Sharon Green, Carolyn Moore, Peggy Shepherd, Betty and Steve Jackson, Larry Lively, Susan Siegel The Telephone Group and Elizabeth Sunday School Class at Hot Springs Baptist Church.
Special thanks to the staff at St Joseph's and Arkansas Hospice for their compassionate care.
