Bradley Helt, age 16, of Westport, CT, beloved son of Peter and Cheryl (Mullins) Helt and loving brother of Jeffrey Helt, passed away Monday, April 9th, 2012. Born in Stamford, Bradley attended Long Lots Elementary School and Coleytown Middle School. He was a junior at Fairfield College Preparatory School. He was a member of the Prep swim team and the Wilton YMCA Wahoos. He also swam for the Westport Water Wrat swim team for several years. In his younger years, Bradley participated in the Westport Little League program. He also participated in Swim Across the Sound for two years. Bradley will be lovingly remembered for his outgoing personality and his wonderful sense of humor. Survivors in addition to his parents and brother include his paternal grandparents, William and Ruth Helt of Old Saybrook, CT; maternal grandmother, Doris Mullins of Ft. Worth, TX; and several aunts, uncles, cousins and a multitude of friends. He was predeceased by his maternal grandfather, Paul Mullins. Calling hours will be held Monday, April 23, 2012 from 3-8 p.m. at Christ & Holy Trinity Church, 75 Church Lane, Westport. A funeral service will be held Tuesday, April 24, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. at Christ & Holy Trinity Church, Westport. Internment will be private. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Bradley's memory may be made to the Bradley Helt Memorial Fund C/O Emmet, Marvin & Martin, 120 Broadway, New York, NY 10271.
