Brenda Barker

Six Mile – Brenda Duncan Barker, 67, of 234 Lusk Road, died September 6, 2011 at her home.

Born in Pickens County, she was the daughter of the late Albert Eugene and Selma Mae Garrett Duncan.

Brenda was retired from the Foster Plant of Alice Manufacturing Co. She was of the Church of God Faith.

Survivors include her husband, Keith Barker of the home; daughter, Mrs. Sherri B. McManis of Six Mile along with her husband Scott and two grandsons who were the loves of her life, Tyler McManis and Kyle McManis. Also surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Joe (Vivian) Gilliand of Easley and Mrs. Ray Don (Rita) Bryant of Six Mile, two brothers, the Reverend James Duncan of Greenwood and the Reverend Bobby Duncan of Six Mile.

Brenda was preceded in death by a sister Eleanor June Duncan, and brothers Marvin Robert Duncan and Jimmy Duncan.

Graveside services will be conducted 3 PM Thursday, September 8, 2011 at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Pickens. The family will receive friends from 1:30 to 2:45 PM prior to the service at Dillard Funeral Home.
