Brent Scott Reschke, 43, of Benton Harbor, went home to Heaven to be with His Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Wednesday, January 4, 2012 after a very short illness at Lakeland Regional Medical Center.

A Celebration of his life will be held on Sunday, January 8, 2012 at 3:00 P.M. at Napier Parkview Baptist Church, 245 W. Napier Ave., Benton Harbor with Dr. J.O. Hosler officiating. Visitation will be held just prior to the service from 1:30 P.M. until 3:00 P.M. at the church. Arrangements have been entrusted to Starks & Menchinger Chapel. Memorials may be made to Napier Parkview Baptist Church. Those wishing to leave an online condolence may do so at www.starks-menchinger.com.

Brent was born in St. Joseph, Michigan to Russ and Joy (Burbach) Reschke on June 14, 1968. He attended Trinity Lutheran School in St. Joseph and Michigan Lutheran High School. He received his Gourmet Chefs degree in 1996 from the Florida Culinary Institute of West Palm Beach, Florida. His creations will be missed immensely. On August 22, 2006 he married his best friend and soul mate Jenefer (Aguilar) in Benton Harbor. Brent was fan of all Michigan sports teams but was especially loyal to the University of Michigan Wolverines and his beloved Detroit Lions. He also loved to fish and be on the water in his boat.

Brent is survived by his parents; his wife; a sister Heather (Danny) Austin of Thornton, CO; a brother Blake (Pollyanna) Reschke; a niece Estella; a nephew Logan all of Austin, TX; maternal grandfather Fred Burbach; paternal grandmother Evelyn Reschke both of Benton Harbor; one aunt Carolyn Miller of San Diego, CA and his two dogs Dee-O-Gee and Liberty.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather George Reschke (1995), his maternal grandmother Dovie Mae Burbach (2009) and his aunt Darla Jean Reschke (1999).
