Harwich- Mr. Brian C. Griffin of Harwich, formerly of Watertown died Monday February 15, 2010 at Cape Cod Hospital. He was 49. Brian was born December 7, 1960 in Waltham, a son of the late John C. and Mary T. (McKenna) Griffin, he was raised and educated in Watertown and moved to Harwich in May of 2009. Brian was a 1978 graduate of Newton North High School in there skilled electrician program, and had worked for many years as an electrician for the Raytheon Corporation. Brian loved being around his children, family and his many dear friends and would always light up the room with his smile and sense of humor. Brian leaves his children, Sean P. Griffin and Heather N. Griffin, both of Harwich, his sister Julie E. Kavanagh and her husband John of Harwich, one sister-in-law Tina Griffin of Framingham, formely married to Lori J. (McDonald) Griffin of Quincy, two nieces Madeline Kavanagh and Mary Kavanagh, and one nephew John Michael Griffin. Brian was the brother of the late John J. Griffin and Marianne Griffin. Family and friends will honor and remember Brian's life by gathering for calling hours at The Joyce Funeral Home, 245 Main Street (Rte.20), Waltham on Friday from 5 to 8 p.m. and again at 8 a.m. on Saturday before leaving in procession to Saint Luke's Church, 132 Lexington Street, Belmont where his Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9 a.m. Burial will be private. Memorial donations may be made to the American Lung Association, 460 Totten Pond Road, Suite 400, Waltham, MA 02451.
