Bruce F. Burgy, age 78, passed away on October 6, 2011. He was born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio. After graduating from John Marshall High School in Cleveland, he continued his studies and graduated from Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts. He was a veteran of the United States Army and retired as a Division General Manager from the Eaton Corporation after a 33 year career. During that time he lived in Framingham, MASS, Belmont CA., Kenosha, WI., and then back to Cleveland, OH. before moving to Charleston, S.C. in 1991. He was a past Commodore of the Vermilion Yacht Club, a member of Cleveland Yachting Club as well as a member of First Baptist Church in Framingham, Massachusetts, Belmont Baptist Church in Belmont, California and Fairview Community Church in Fairview Park, Ohio. Mr. Burgy was the beloved husband of the late Patricia D. (nee Caruso), father of Diana (Jerrold) Kuyper of Silver Lake, WI, Susan (Kenneth) Aldrich of Brunswick, OH., Brenda Burgy of Lima, OH., and Eric (Diane) Burgy of Bay Village, OH.; grandfather of Cloence, Derek, Amy and Adam. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00am on Monday, October 10, at Bay United Methodist Church, 29931 Lake Rd. in Bay Village. Interment at Sunset Memorial Park.
