C. Yvonne "Red" McKay, 83, of Moline, IL died Thursday, December 29, 2011 at Trinity Rock Island.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, January 5, 2012 at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., 6601 38th Avenue, Moline, IL. There will be a visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, January 4, 2012 also at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd. Burial will be at National Cemetery at Rock Island Arsenal.
Yvonne was born on October 2, 1928 in La Praire, IL the daughter of Charles and Leona M. (Davis) Stotler. She married Melvin Earl McKay on May 12, 1946 in Davenport, IA. He preceded her in death on June 22, 2004. She worked as a bartender for several Quad City area taverns. Yvonne was a member of the Moline Eagles Auxiliary, Svithiod Club, and Friends Circle. She enjoyed camping and fishing and was an avid bowler. Yvonne enjoyed her family and friends so much. She was a very giving and compassionate person who always had a home for those in need.
