Candy (Lee) Usher, 57, of Tolland, beloved wife of over 35 years to Ronald F. Usher, passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday, October 15, 2009. Born in Hartford, daughter of the late Thomas and Patricia (Scribner) Lee, she has lived in Tolland for most of her life. Candy was a graduate of Rockville High School, Class of 1970. She loved bowling, collecting coins, watching movies, doing jig saw puzzles and reading true crime books. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend who enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Candy enjoyed traveling to Georgia to visit her son and his family. Her favorite drink was Pepsi Cola. Besides her loving husband Ronald, she is survived by her beloved children, Brandon Usher and his wife Sarah of Vernon and Patrick Usher and his wife Jaret of Acworth, GA; her grandson, Oscar Usher of Vernon; a sister, Cindy Lee of Vernon; her mother-in-law, Catherine Usher of Tolland; two nieces, Melanie Wilde of Middletown and Melissa Wilde of Vernon and many aunts, uncles and cousins. Her family will receive friends for calling hours on Monday, October 19, 2009 from 6 to 8 PM at the Ladd-Turkington & Carmon Funeral Home, 551 Talcottville Road (Route 83), Vernon. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, October 20, 2009 at 10 AM. Burial will follow in the Connecticut State Veteran’s Cemetery in Middletown.
