Carl G. Miller, Jr., son of Dr. Carl G. Miller and Alma Keck Miller, passed away, August 31, 2011. He graduated from St. Paul's Lutheran Elementary; Valedictorian from Concordia High School; and received a B.S. with high honors from Indiana University. He was a Secretary and Treasurer of Rellim Investments for 35 years. He also worked for American Red Cross; and operated Miller Ice Cream stores. He was a volunteer driver for home bound meals for over 10 years. He was a Navy Corpman in the Korean War. He was active at St. Paul's Lutheran Church as Treasurer. Also active in the Church Endowment Fund and one of the original founders of Concordia Education Foundation. He enjoyed fishing and was a collector of stamps and coins. He leaves his wife, Phyllis after 58 years of marriage; two sons, William (Sandy) Miller of Defiance, OH, and C. Edward Miller of Fremont, IN; granddaughters, Rachel (Adam) Bancroft of Fisher, IN, and Laura (Carson) Tucker of West Lafayette, IN. Service is 2 p.m. Saturday, September 3, 2011 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 1126 Barr Street, with calling 1 hour prior to the service. Pastor Gregory, Pastor Cage and Pastor Massel officiating. Calling from 2 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, September 2, 2011 at D.O. McComb and Sons Foster Park Funeral Home, 6301 Fairfield Ave. Burial in Lindenwood Cemetery, Fort Wayne.
