Carl Lewis Richmond Jr.
Carl Lewis Richmond Jr, 48, formerly of Coal City, passed away June 11, 2012 in Morgantown, WV. Carl was born November 18, 1963 in District Heights, Maryland to Carl Lewis Richmond, Sr and Shelia Marie Deweese Richmond. He served his country proudly in the United States Army.
Carl enjoyed spending time with his nieces and nephews as well as attending their sporting events. He was an avid baseball fan especially the "Cubs". His favorite football team was the Chicago Bears. He was a graduate of Independence High School.
Carl was a carpenter by trade.
He was preceded in death by his beloved daughter Sara Beth Richmond, grandparents Helen and Alvie Richmond, and Dale and Dicie Deweese, as well as a host of aunts and uncles.
In addition to his parents, those left to cherish his memory include his brothers, Donald Richmond and wife, Bonnie of Beckley and Gary Richmond of Morgantown, WV; sisters, Dedra Blankenship of Morgantown, WV, Kim Stuchell and husband, Bryan of Tarpon Springs, FL; eleven nieces and nephews, Justin, Jerrica, Jacob, Jaycie Blankenship, Christopher, Nicole and Paige Richmond, Branden, Bethany, Bryanna, and Brenten Stuchell; a great-niece Jada Richmond; a close friend on the family, Kevin Blankenship; extended family and a host of friends.
Services will be held on Saturday June 16th, 2012 at 2:00 PM at Blue Ridge Funeral Home in Beckley, WV with Pastor Don Kelly officiating. Following the services he will be laid to rest at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens, Beckley. His nephews will be serving as pallbearers.
Friends may gather with the family from 1:00PM until time of the service Saturday at the funeral home.
