Mr. Carl M. "Pa" "Shotgun" Shivar

Carl M. “Pa” “Shotgun” Shivar, 90, of Okeechobee, FL, died August 8, 2011, at Raulerson Hospital, Okeechobee.

Born in Indiantown, Florida, he was a lifelong resident of Indiantown.

Prior to retirement he was a cow puncher. He also had worked for the Florida Department of Highways. He had been a guest, several times on the television shows, “Real Adventures” and “Respect Outdoors”. He was a Christian, wonderful Father and Paw.

Survivors include daughters, Linda Cook of Georgia, Betty Arrington of Jupiter, Susan Jordan of Okeechobee, Debbie Wright of S. Carolina and Lynn Eastwood of Indiantown; a brother, Dessie Shivar of Kentucky; a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife Gladys Shivar, sons Steven Shivar and Mark Shivar and four siblings.

SERVICES: There will be a service at 1:30 PM on August 11, 2011at Forest Hills Funeral Homes Young and Prill Chapel, Stuart. Interment will follow in Fernhill Memorial Gardens, Stuart.
