Carl P. Nase, Sr. of Audubon, PA died suddenly on Sunday, January 9, 2011, in the emergency room at Montgomery Hospital, Norristown.

Mr. Nase was 78 years old and was the loving husband of nearly 55 years to Lillian E. (Meyers) Nase. Born in Conshohocken on November 4, 1932, Carl was the son of the late Henry and Mary (Organista) Nase.

Before his retirement, Mr. Nase was employed by the former Audubon Inn, as a bartender. An avid hunter and fisherman, Mr. Nase was a member of the Lower Providence Rod and Gun Club. He had served in the United States Army during the Korean War and had also been a Merchant Marine.

He is also survived in addition to his wife by a son Carl P. (Henrietta) Nase, Jr. of Conshohocken. A son Stephen Michael Nase also preceded him in death. His grandchildren Carl P. (Andrea) Nase, III, and Jennifer (John) Kavash, great grandchildren Gabrielle and Giannna, a sister Helen Hepner of East Norriton, his sister-in-law Pauline Meyers, brother-in-law Floyd Miller of Perkiomenville, and several nieces and nephews also survive him.

His brothers Edward, Frank and Aloysius Nase and a sister Josephine Rorick preceded him in death also.

Relatives and friends are invited to share in Carl’s “Life Celebration” on Thursday, January 13, 2011 from 7-9 PM at the Boyd-Horrox Funeral Home of East Norriton, PA, 200 West Germantown Pike, (1-800-GIVNISH) and again at the funeral home on Friday, January 14th beginning at 9:30 AM with the funeral service at 10:30. Burial will be in St. Matthew Cemetery, Conshohocken.
