Carlton D. Harrell, Sr., 85, passed away on December 21, 2009, at his home. Born in Ahoskie, NC to the late Dora and Robert Harrell, Carlton was retired from the electrical shop of Norfolk Naval Shipyard. Carlton was predeceased by his wife, Lola W. Harrell. He is survived by a daughter, Billie Ann Morfeld; a son, Carlton D. Harrell, Jr.; three grandchildren; Connie Cutrall, Tami Harrell and Matthew Harrell; and a sister, Marianne Sumner. A funeral service will be conducted at 10 a.m. on Thursday at Snellings Funeral Home, George Washington Highway Chapel where the family will receive friends one half hour prior. Burial will follow in Olive Branch Cemetery.
