Carlynn York Calhoun

Carlynn York Calhoun was called home on the morning of December 2, 2011 at the age of 76 in Orlando, Florida. Carlynn was born on the 17th of February, 1935 in Chattanooga, Tennessee. She moved with her parents to Orlando, FL in 1947 and made her home in College Park.

Those who loved her affectionately called her Snoonie. She was passionate about her family, friends and country music. When we think of Snoonie we will remember her love of her children and grandchildren, Johnny Cash, the fields of Sand Mountain, Alabama, and her countless lifelong friends.

She is survived by her children Jack Calhoun, Juli Kessler (Mike), Karen Jill Koontz (Stephen), Jennifer Tschetter (Bill); her grandchildren Andrew York Koontz, Amanda Alice Koontz, Adam Michael Koontz, Stori Anne Woodstock, William Tschetter and Ellie Tschetter and her siblings James York (Nancy), Lynda York, Lance Roberts and Kathy Dodd (Buddy).

A memorial service celebrating her life will be held for Carlynn on Tuesday December 6th at College Park Baptist Church. Visitation for family and friends will be from 10:00 to 11:00am with the memorial service beginning at 11:00am.
