Carmen Borges, 81, of Port St. Lucie, passed away, Wednesday, August 3, 2011 at St. Lucie Medical Center.

Mrs. Borges was born in Manati, Puerto Rico. She had been a resident of Port St. Lucie for the past seven years coming from Brooklyn, NY.

She was a member of Iglesia de Dios en Cristo La Senda in Port St. Lucie, FL.

Survivors include her loving husband of 60 years, Pedro J. Borges of Port St. Lucie, FL; five sons, Jerry Borges of Port St. Lucie, FL; Frank Borges of White Plains, NY; Peter Borges of Port St. Lucie, FL; Jimmy Borges of Jenson Beach, FL; Steven Borges of Melbourne, FL; one brother, Al Valentin of Brooklyn, NY; two sisters, Floripe Valentin of Toa Alta, PR, Belen Cosme of Maple, FL, and eleven grandchildren.

Visitation: Friends may call from 4:00 pm – 9:00 pm, Friday, August 5, 2011 and Saturday, August 6, 2011 from 10:00 am – 12:00pm, at Forest Hills-Byrd, Young & Prill Funeral Home in Port St. Lucie, FL.

A Funeral Service will be held at 12:00 pm, Saturday, August 6, 2011 at Forest Hills-Byrd, Young & Prill Funeral Home in Port St. Lucie, FL. Burial will follow at Forest Hills Memorial Park in Palm City, FL.
