Carol Ann Straw Burton, age 75, passed away November 23, 2011 at her home in Peoria, Arizona. She was born August 19, 1936 in Clinton, Missouri; the daughter of Willis Alva Straw and Kathryn Verlene Straw. On June 5, 1954 she was united in marriage to Robert Burton. He survives. Carol is also survived by a daughter Jackie Burton-Watson (Wade) in Peoria, AZ; one son Randy Burton (Deanna) of Flagstaff, AZ; two grandchildren Kendra Burton McQuire (Aaron) of Flagstaff, AZ and Seth Burton of Flagstaff, AZ; and two nephews Steven and Vernon Straw. She was preceded in death by her sister, brother, parents and one granddaughter. Carol was a graduate of Clinton High School. Robert and Carol moved to Columbia, MO, Austin, TX and then to Arizona. She was a member of the Columbia Sportsman Club with her husband. Carol was a homemaker, seamstress, loved snow skiing, bowling and playing golf. Memorial services will be held later in Clinton, MO.
