Carol Elaine Crawford

Carol E. Crawford, 80, Fargo, ND, died on Sat., June 16, 2012 in Rosewood on Broadway, Fargo, ND with all of her family by her side.

Carol E. Hogenson was born on Dec. 12, 1931 in Esmond, ND to Ordean and Manda (Halvorson) Hogenson. She attended school in Esmond and Brocket, ND, before graduating from Calvin (ND) High School. Carol then attended business college in Grand Forks, ND. She began working for a judge in Grand Forks. Carol married Robert Crawford on Dec. 30, 1952 in Grand Forks. She was a member of a singing trio that preformed on live radio and at public events in the Grand Forks area. The couple lived in Key West, FL, for a short time, before moving to Washington State. They returned to North Dakota and settled in Jamestown and then Fargo in the early 1960's. They later moved to West Fargo, where Carol worked for the West Fargo School District. She retired after the school year finished in the summer of 1988.

Carol enjoyed her retirement years, spending time with her family and friends and their summers spent on Lake Ida Blossom.

She is survived by her husband, Robert, Fargo, ND; son, Jeffrey (Kim), Menoken, ND; daughter, Cathy Crawford, West Fargo, ND; grandchildren, LayCee Crawford, Brandon Crawford and Ryan Crawford; brothers, Curtis (JoAnn) Hogenson, St. Paul, MN, Warren (Joan) Hogenson, Magna, UT; and nieces and nephews.

Funeral: Thursday, June 21, 2012 at 2 pm in Faith Lutheran Church, West Fargo, ND, with visitation on Wednesday from 5 to 7 with a prayer service at 7 in West Funeral Home, West Fargo, ND.

Burial: Sunset Memorial Gardens, Fargo, ND.
