Carol Wilson, 85 of Payson, Utah passed away on Monday November 21, 2011 in Payson, Utah. She was born August 4, 1926 in Salem, Utah to Richard Bliss and Nelda Ilene Pickering Beddoes. Carol grew up in Salem and Payson and graduated from Payson High School.
She was sealed to Carl Fowler in the Provo Temple, and together they had three children. After Carl passed away she married Shirley A. Wilson on October 1, 1996. Carol worked as a secretary at the University of Utah until she retired. She loved flowers, gardening, and working in her yard. She also loved to volunteer at the Peteetneet Academy and was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
She is survived by her husband Shirley A. Wilson; her children: Brent (RoLayne) Fowler, Paula (Sherman) Barton, and Gregory Fowler, of Sandy, Utah; her stepchildren: Janice (Rex) Woodhouse, and Steve (Glenda) Wilson, both of Spanish Fork, Utah, Barbara (Ray) Yelland, and Craig (Julie) Wilson, both of Sandy, Utah, Melanie (Blake) Taylor, and David Wilson, both of Payson, Utah and Annalys (John) Wilson, of Fruit Heights, Utah. She is also survived by a sister Diane (Jerry) Hansen of Payson, many nieces and nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Carl, a brother Richard, a sister Bonnie Daley and a grandson Adam Barton.
Funeral services will be held Monday November 28, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. in the West Mountain 4th Ward Chapel, 5327 West 10400 South (3 miles West of Payson on Utah Ave.) Payson, Utah. A viewing will be held Sunday evening, November 27, 2011 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Walker Mortuary, 587 South 100 West, Payson, Utah, with another viewing one hour prior to services at the church. Interment will be in the Payson City Cemetery.
