Carol L. Rexrode, 80, of Ft. Wayne, passed away Thursday, January 5, 2012. Born in Ft. Wayne, Carol worked at Farm Bureau Ins. for 18 years, retiring in 1993. She is survived by her son, Reed Romanowski; daughters, Rhonda Wilhelm and Rochelle Ehle, all of Fort Wayne, Vicki Osborne of Cali. and Teri (Mark) Reader of Ft. Wayne; grandchildren, Jeremy, Adam, Ben, Lauren, Andy, Jessica, Joseph, Summer, Kelly and Matthew; and great-grandchildren, Matthew, Jason, Alyssa, Nevaeh, Lee, Ben and Xavier. Carol was preceded in death by her parents, Noble and Alverda Cochran; daughter, Sheila Cole, and grandchildren, Jason Carlson and Erica VanKirk. Service is 1 pm Sunday, January 8, 2012 at D.O. McComb and Sons Lakeside Park Funeral Home, 1140 Lake Avenue with visitation one hour prior. Visitation also from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm Saturday at the funeral home. Burial in Lindenwood Cemetery.
