Carol Sue Bailey

Carol Sue Bailey, 66 of Fairdale went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, August 9, 2011. Born May 1, 1945, she is the daughter of the late Fletcher and Jesse Owens Smith.
Carol enjoyed spending time with her grandsons, and was an avid doll collector. She loved taking care of her home and family and enjoyed shopping. Carol was a member of the Fairdale Freewill Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her 2 brothers, Howard Smith and Charles Smith.
Those left to cherish her memory include her loving husband of 48 years, Donald G. Bailey of Fairdale; sons Donald G. Bailey, Jr. and wife Renee of Troutman, NC and Michael Bailey of Bolt, WV; grandchildren Nicholas Bailey and Matthew Bailey; sisters Barbara Wright of Bolt, Betty Paynter of Columbus, OH; brothers Fletcher Smith, Jr. of Los Angeles, CA, Bud Smith of Las Vegas, NV; also a host of family and friends.
Services will be held at 7:00 PM Thursday, August 11, 2011 at Blue Ridge Funeral Home, Beckley with Pastor Randall Pugh officiating. Entombment will be held at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens.
Friends may gather with the family Thursday from 5 – 7 PM at the funeral home.
