MARION, VIRGINIA: CAROLYN SUE REED, age 59, died Monday, April 23, 2012 at Francis Marion Manor in Marion, Virginia. She was born March 13, 1953 in Marion, Virginia to the late Charles and Ella Testerman Echols. Carolyn was a long time active member of Falling Water Baptist Church. She was employed by Walmart for over 20 years and was an avid walker at the Lifetime Wellness Center. She was a wonderful cook who took pride in the delicious foods she prepared. Carolyn is survived by her husband Jerry W. Reed of Marion, Virginia; sister, Katherine Ann "Katie" Sheets and husband, Raymond of Sugar Grove, Virginia; brother, Ronnie C. Echols and wife, Sharon of Marion, Virginia; niece, Angie Sheets; nephews, Steve Sheets and wife, Heather and Freddie Sheets and wife, Bobby; several great nieces and great nephews; numerous dear and special friends and a special companion, her dog Sophie Funeral Services will be held Saturday, April 28, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel with Pastor Jerry Creasy and Reverend Neville Mozingo officiating. Burial will follow in Attoway Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the family at www.seaverbrown.com. Seaver-Brown Funeral Service and Crematory is serving the Reed Family.
