Cary Reed Young

Cary R. Young, 88, formerly of Broad Run Farms, passed away Saturday, March 3, 2007, at Prince William Hospital.

Mr. Young was born on March 18, 1918 in The Plains, VA, to the late Charles and Mary Elizabeth Young. He was a WWII Veteran of the Army Air Corps stationed at Luke Air Force Base, AZ. He retired after 31 years of federal service as a cabinetmaker for the General Services Administration in Washington, DC and the CIA in Langley, VA.

Mr. Young was preceded in death by his loving wife of 54 years, Jacqueline B. Young, his daughter Mary Elizabeth Usiak, his parents, and his 14 siblings. He is survived by five children, Joan Picariello of Stafford, VA, Cheryl Blanton of Ashland, VA, Evelyn Pearson of Manassas, VA, Cary "Skip" Young of Martinsburg, WV, and Lori Miller of Gainesville, VA, 16 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

A celebration of his life will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, March 10, 2007 at Pierce-Price Funeral Home Chapel, 9609 Center St., Manassas, VA with interment to follow at National Memorial Park, Falls Church, VA. The Pastor Ralph Satter will officiate.
