Casper Killian Volpert, age 100 of Little Rock, Arkansas died Tuesday, December 20, 2011. He was born on February 19, 1911 in Bigelow, Arkansas to his late parents Andrew Volpert and Mary Mergenschroer Volpert. Casper was a charter member of St. Theresa's Catholic Church of Little Rock, a member of the Men's Club and was a retired Boilermaker with the Missouri Pacific/Union Pacific Railroad. In addition, he enjoyed gardening, selling tomato's and loved growing roses.

He is preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Martina Volpert, one daughter Theresa Volpert, three brothers and three sisters. Survivors include his three children, Joe Volpert (Margie) of Springfield, Nebraska, Charles Volpert (Jean) of Benton, AR and Dorothy Sanders (Carl) of Little Rock, AR; one sister Elizabeth Williams of Little Rock, AR; nine grandchildren, Bobby Volpert (Lucy), Dennis Volpert (Stacie), Jimmy Volpert, Scott McGarrell (Stacia), Alex Volpert, J. P. McGarrell (Samantha), Billy Sanders (Shelley), Charles Sanders (Teresa) and Karla Walls (Dino); 21 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00am Friday, December 23, 2011 at St. Theresa's Catholic Church with Father Mark Wood as Celebrant. A visitation will be 6:00pm Thursday, December 22, 2011 at Griffin Leggett Healey & Roth Funeral Home, 5800 W. 12th Street, Little Rock, Arkansas (501) 661-9111 with a Rosary to follow at 7:00pm.

A graveside service will be 10:00am Wednesday, December 28, 2011 at Calvary Cemetery.
