Catherine Jacob, age eighty-nine, was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York, where she married her true love, Al Jacob. They were married for sixty-two years and had three devoted children: Pat, Al, and Karen.

Catherine's dream had always been to live in Florida. At the age of fifty-eight, this dream had a reality when Catherine and Al moved to Clearwater. By this time, she had a daughter-in-law, Diane, and two loving grandchildren: Janice and Brian. The following year, another grandchild came into her life, Craig. She now had three children and three adorable grandchildren, thinking her family was complete. Little did she know, in 1994, a fourth grandchild, Kaitlin, would become her "Darlin' Girl," as she called her. By this time, Catherine was called Nani by almost everyone in the family, a fitting term for such a sweet little lady. Although little in size, she had amazing inner strength and a big heart that put a smile on everyone's face. Her strong faith got her through any obstacles that stood in her way. In the Jacob household, it wasn't "are you going to church today?"--it was "what Mass are you going to?" Her favorite saint was St. Jude Thaddeus, who she prayed to everyday; he always came through for her.

Catherine worked for American Airlines for many years and she and Al loved to travel the globe. She was an avid reader and enjoyed listening to Irish music. She loved being surrounded by her family, but you would never catch her slaving away over a hot stove, unless it was for a cup of hot tea. As she always said, "a cup of tea tastes good!"

She will be greatly missed by her family, which now includes Clark, Maya, and Michele, as well as seven great-grandchildren, Mitchell, Ashton, Tyler, Sean, Christopher, Olivia, and Ryan.

May she rest in peace, and be rejoined with her loving husband and the Almighty Father, in Heaven.
