The first time i saw Kay, was when i was volunteering at what is now called ( Carestone Assisted Living) Elmcroft Senior Living Facility ! i met Kay n her caregiver Susan . i got along with them really well . n then i became a caregiver myself. n i took care of Kay nearly to the end. i remember how she would always call me either Honey or Baby !! cuz she couldnt remember my name. which is fine

The first time i saw Kay, was when i was volunteering at what is now called ( Carestone Assisted Living) Elmcroft Senior Living Facility ! i met Kay n her caregiver Susan . i got along with them really well . n then i became a caregiver myself. n i took care of Kay nearly to the end. i remember how she would always call me either Honey or Baby !! cuz she couldnt remember my name. which is fine with me . im totally used to being called those names. i thought it was cute. she would go b..aaaaaabbbbyyyy !! or honey could you please take my back to my room. n either i would or her other caregiver would take her back. i always did what she told me do, she was my baby n i was hers . she always told me that i could just spend the nite there on the couch. and sleep until the next day. i told her if i did that i would get fired n she said oh yea i dont want you to get fired. sometimes she would get angry with me, if i had to give her a shower. i always would explain what i was doing before she let me do it. or she would say not nite, tomorow . when i would put her to bed she n get her trash, i would cover her up n tell her that i would see her next wkend , and she would say why until next wkend, i would then say that is when the next time i work , she would be like oh.. ok !! n i would always say goodnite kay , i love you, she would say back to me , goodnite honey, love you to, be safe when you go home !! i would say i wil Kay, goodnite hun!! i was always on her hall on the wkends, until my schedule change then they put me on whatever they had left. when i saw Kay the way she was, i was confused n in complete shock . i didnt knw why she was like the way she was . i was used to her being the Kay i always new , always talking , sometimes argueing with me, or such a sweet heart to me. she would always make me laugh , she would say why are u laughing i told her she made me laugh. she said oh thats good n then she would smile at me, n she always commented on my curly hair my skin tone . or something like that. she would tell me that, u have such beautiful curly hair n look at my hair its all straight n not curly, i told her she was pretty to matter what ! but when i saw her, i couldnt believe what was going on. n when i was helping the hall 4 caregiver with Kay, i stil couldnt believe it. she was not the same Kay i once new. it made me very sad. i started crying a couple times, cuz one min she was kind of talking to me, the next day she was not responding to our questions or to what we were saying , she would just stare at us. i was like how can somebody decline so fast like this . i didnt make sense to me, but she is in a happier and better place then here. she is with her family n friends in heaven n with GOD !! i knw she would want all of us to be happy also. !! she was just always such a happy person!! we will always miss n love her dearly !! she was such a wonderful Lady!! and she always talked bout you girls, n her twin sis too. she always wished that you all would stay and live with her. she loved you all very much !! Rest in Peace , My Dear Kay, u are in my heart forever , n u wil never be forgotten!! love Alyssa her caregiver n friend !!

Kay would make me laugh. She had a good sense of humor. People would ask her "how are you doing Miss Kay ? " she would answer , "Anyone I can ! ". Surprised me at first , but knowing her as I do , she didn't mean it the way it came out. I used to tell her how much she meant to me , she would always say thank you. Till one day maybe a month before her passing she told me she loved me out of the blue. I'll miss you my Kay . I know now God has taken you in his arms. You are home my love.
