1991 - 2011
Former Wrightwood Resident, Cathleen Cadence Ely passed away last Thursday November 3, 2011, at the age of 20. She was born in Lancaster on June 13, 1991 to Colleen and Tom Ely. And in spite of having Autism and Epilepsy, grew to be a beautiful and intelligent young woman. Katie was a beloved daughter, sister, and aunt. She was a spirited young woman who loved music, family get togethers, and long car rides. She enjoyed going to school and attended Phelan Elementary, Quail Valley Middle School, and Serrano High School, and Valley View High/ Moreno Valley.
Katie is survived by her loving mother and stepfather Colleen Hamilton Hart and Don Hart, her brother Thomas Ely, her sisters Christine Hamilton Brown and Sheri Ely, and her nephew's Javan, Caleb, and Elias Brown and niece Genna Brown, grandma Ramona Ely, and grandpa Cameron McCluskey (Christine). Preceded in death by her father Thomas Ely.
There will be a viewing at 11:00am, with funeral service starting at 12:00pm, Saturday, Nov 12th, 2011, at Halley Olsen Murphy, Lancaster, followed by Interment at Good Shepherd Cemetery, 43121 70th St. West, Lancaster, CA 93536.
