Retired CDR Philip H. Field, 73, passed away on November 17, 2011, in his home. Mr. Field retired from the U.S. Navy after thirty seven years of service. He was a former C.O. of the School of Music at Little Creek and leader of the Navy Band in Washington D.C. Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Mikiko; his three children, David Field, Debbie Field, and Mary Gallant and husband Brad Gallant; and his three grandchildren, Christopher Field, Jaclyn Torres, and Cameron Gallant. There will be a private family memorial that will be set at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society. Friends may offer condolences at www.hollomon-brown.com.
