Mrs. Cecelia F. “Kay Kay” (DeRosa) Borucki, of Saugus and formerly of East Boston, passed after a brief illness on Tuesday, July 26, 2011 with her family at her bedside. She was 86 years old.

Cecelia was born on August 29, 1924 in East Boston, one of ten children of the late Raimondo DeRosa and Alfornzina (Sarro) DeRosa.

Born and raised in East Boston, Mrs. Borucki settled in Saugus where she raised her family. Cecelia, known as “Kay Kay” to her family, loved cooking, playing cards, crossword puzzles, and laughing. She will be lovingly remembered as the family historian who everyone relied on for important family dates.

Kay Kay was the beloved wife of the late Stephen C. Borucki, Sr. Devoted mother of Walter Borucki and his wife Jean of Londonderry, NH and Stephen C. Borucki, Jr. and his wife Estelle of Norton. Dear sister of Raymond L. DeRosa and his wife Judy of Melrose, and sister-in-law of Albert St. George of Billerica. Cherished grandmother of Lauren and Ashley Borucki. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

She is predeceased by eight brothers and sisters, Netta St. George, Joseph DeRosa, Carmen DeRosa, Angelina Casiello, Eleanor DeRosa, Anthony DeRosa, Pasquale DeRosa, and Margaret Napolitano.

Funeral from the Robinson Funeral Home, 809 Main St., Melrose on Saturday, July 30 at 8AM followed by a Funeral Mass celebrated in honor and remembrance of Kay’s life at St. Mary’s Church, Herbert St., Melrose at 9AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours on Friday from 3-8PM. Interment in Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden.
