Cecile P. Petitjean Speranza, 92, of New York City passed away on Wednesday, July 18, 2012, at home. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at St. Rose of Lima Church, 50 Short Hills Ave., Short Hills, N.J., on Saturday, July 21 at 10 a.m. Interment is in Milford Cemetery, Milford, Pa. Visitation will be held at The Jacob A. Holle Funeral Home, 2122 Millburn Ave., Maplewood, N.J., today from 2 to 5 p.m. For more information or to send condolences, please visit jacobhollefuneralhome.com. Born in Madagascar, Mrs. Speranza resided in New York City for 70 years. Cecile spent her entire business career at McKinsey and Company of New York City as an executive secretary to Howard C. Adams and Arch Patton. She began working for the company in 1951 and retired in 1972. Mrs. Speranza was the beloved wife of the late Joseph Speranza; devoted mother of Diane Driscoll, SSJ., Elaine Pultz, and Joanna Nittolo, and loving sister-in-law of Anthony Speranza and Rose Russo. She is also survived by nine grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, donations would be appreciated to Religious of the Cenacle for their Madagascar missions, c/o Cenacle Sisters, 310 Cenacle Rd., P.O. Box 4005, Ronkonkoma, N.Y. 11779-0430.
