Chamlong (Sakorn) Cox, 65, passed away December 12, 2011 following an 11 year battle with cancer. She is survived by her husband of 42 years, Philip Cox, her son Sean Cox and his wife Michelle and daughter Juliette Cox, grandchildren Bennett, Cameron and Samantha Cox and Maxwell Smith. She also leaves her brothers Teerayut, Somloy, Somchai, Tongdee and Saakson Sakorn and sister Malee Sakohn. her beloved niece Wipaorn Sakorn along with several other nieces and nephews. Chamlong was born July 13, 1946 in Thailand, daughter of the late Tongyou and Luem Sakorn. She grew up there before moving to the U.S. in 1970. Chamlong managed her own daycare center from her home in Worcester for several years before working at Digital Equipment Corporation for 17 years as a Parts Technician. Chamlong loved to host her family and friends at her home and cook her favorite Thai specialties for them. In her later years she traveled back and forth to her native Thailand to visit her family and friends. In lieu of flowers her family requests memorial donations to the Dana Farber Cancer Institute PO Box 849168 Boston, MA 02284. CALLING HOURS Calling hours will be Thursday December 15th from 5pm to 8pm at RONEY FUNERAL HOME 152 Worcester St. N. Grafton MA 01536. Burial will be private at the convenience of her family.
