Mr. Charles A. Adams, 64, of Union Mills, Indiana, passed away Tuesday January 18, 2011 at Clarion North Medical Center in Carmel, IN. He was born July 5, 1946 in La Porte, Indiana, the son of Joseph Adams and Viola (Listenfelt) Adams and had lived most of his life in the Union Mills area. Charles worked in the corrugated paper industry for over 30 years and recently retired from Jefferson Smurfit. Charles was an avid golfer and Cubs fan. He is survived by his son - David (Faye) Adams of Carmel, IN; 2 Grandchildren - Gavin and Teighler Adams; and a brother - Joseph (Sheila) Adams of Rolling Prairie, IN. Charles was preceded in death by his parents. Arrangements are being handled by Haverstock Funeral Home, 602 Maple Ave., La Porte, Ind. where the family will receive friends Saturday, January 22, 2011 12:00 pm until time of the service. Services will be held at Haverstock Funeral Home, Inc., Saturday January 22, 2011 at 2:00 PM. Cremation will follow with burial of ashes in Union Mills Cemetery at a later date.
