Charles Albert, 79, of Chino Valley died December 14, 2011 in Prescott. He was born August 23, 1932 in Jackson, Ohio. Mr. Albert attended Jackson School and Hayward College. He served his country during the Korean and Vietnam wars in the Navy. Besides his Naval career, he worked for Lucky Stores. He was an active volunteer assisting groups such as Boy Scouts, Cans for Kids and Headstart. He enjoyed fishing and camping. He was preceded in death by his mother, Hazel Albert Presley. Mr. Albert is survived by his wife of 40 years, Margie Albert; a daughter Tina Norton Owen (Dave) of Georgia; sisters Ina Luster of Tennessee, Marie Saunders of Ohio, Janie Ortega of Texas; two granddaughters, Amanda of Chino Valley and Paige of Georgia and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. A memorial service will be held Saturday, January 7 at the American Legion Post #40 in Chino Valley at 11 AM. An online guestbook is available at www.westcottfuneralhome.com
