Charles R. (“Chuck”) Brown, 73, of Georgetown, Texas passed away on January 24, 2011 in Georgetown. Charles was born on June 30, 1937 to Richard Armstrong and Charlotte Claus Brown in Longview, Texas.

Charles is survived by his wife, Carolyn Denton Brown and his sons, Barton Brown of Sandy Springs, GA and Jeff Brown of Houston, Texas and a grandson, Dane Brown of Houston, Texas.

Charles was a proud Texas Aggie of the Class of 1959, graduating with a BS in Mechanical Engineering. He retired in 1999 after 35 years with Monsanto/Sterling in Texas City, Texas. Charles was a loving father and husband who naturally put a smile on the face of everyone he met.

He was preceded in death by his parents Mr. and Mrs. Richard A. Brown of Longview, Texas.

A Graveside Service will be held at 1:30 P.M. on Thursday, January 27, 2011 at The Aggie Field of Honor in College Station, Texas.

Memorials may be made in his name to the American Cancer Society at the ACS Donate Now Webpage located at www.cancer.org/involved/donate or by mail to American Cancer Society at P.O.
