Charles P. Hubbard

Charles P. Hubbard, 61 of Surveyor went home to be with the Lord on Friday, November 25, 2011. Born March 7, 1950 in Sistersville, WV, he was the son of the late Ralph and Laura Dalrymple Hubbard.
Charles was an avid trader. He loved his hunting camp in Lincoln County, WV, but his joy was his family whom he loved and took care of. He also enjoyed working with horses. Charles worked as a wielder, mechanic, pipe fitter and a carpenter for many years. He was an old fashioned man that loved old fashioned things. Charles worked tirelessly to provide for his family. He was a member of the Grace Independent Baptist Church in Sandlick, WV where he served as a Deacon.
Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife, Kelly Jo Hubbard of Surveyor; children, Cansina "Candi" Galentine and husband Ron of Moundsville, WV, Dennis Hubbard of Daniels, WV, Tresa Dempsey and husband Dennis of Daniels, WV, Lisa Fletcher and husband Marshall of Cool Ridge, WV, Kristina Christian of Surveyor, WV, Megan Christian of Surveyor, WV and Tommie Jo Hubbard of Surveyor, WV; 10 grandchildren, Ronald "Lee" Galentine, Catelyn Galentine, Kacie Rhome, Carly Grimshaw, Joshua "Josh" Grimshaw, Kerah Hubbard, Lauren "LuLu" Dempsey, David "Leroy" Fletcher, Kelly Fletcher and Graysun Christian; two brothers, Richard Hubbard and Donnie Hubbard; a sister, Sue Jones; and four special friends, Kennith Edwards, James Furrows, James Eastridge, and Larry WIlliams.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, November 29, 2011 at the Rakes Cemetery in Lincoln County with Pastor Doug Alderman officiating. Burial will follow. Those attending the graveside service are asked to be at the cemetery by 1:45 PM on Tuesday.
Friends may gather with the family Monday from 6 – 8 PM at Blue Ridge Funeral Home, Beckley.
