Charles "Chuckie" F. Fox, 52, of New Windsor, formerly of Rock Island, passed away Sunday, January 8, 2012 at St. Mary's Medical Center, Galesburg, IL.
The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, January 13, 2012 at Esterdahl Mortuary & Crematory, Ltd., 6601 38th Avenue, Moline, IL. There will be a visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, January 12, 2012 at Esterdahl Mortuary and Crematory, Ltd. Burial will be at Chippiannock Cemetery, Rock Island, IL. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to his family for a fund to be established.
Chuckie was born on August 15, 1959 in Rock Island, IL to James A. and Helen L. (Musser) Fox. He graduated Rock Island High School in 1977. He married Lisa Franks in Las Vegas, NV in April of 2001. Chuckie worked as a truck driver for Forward Air for 25 years and at the same time as an operational manager for Shady Lakes Camp Ground in New Windsor, IL.
God took a very special person, but then gave us all an angel. Chuckie was a very loving and caring person to all friends and family. He never met a stranger and was always willing to lend a helping hand to all. There are no words to express his love and commitment to Shady Lakes Camp Ground and his grandkids. Chuckie will be missed by all. Heaven is certainly getting one of a kind.
The family would like to thank Tri County Ambulance Service/GHAS and St. Mary's ER Department for their care and compassion through this difficult time.
