Charles E. Coyne, 82, Of Belmont passed away on March 14, 2009 at the Riverbend Nursing Home in South Natick. He was the beloved husband of the late Evelyn T. (O’Neil) Coyne.
Born in Somerville, Massachusetts, he was the son of the late William and Catherine (Rose) Coyne.
He was the devoted father of Stephen Coyne & his wife Rosetta of Valdosta GA, Janet Zorbas & her husband John of Roslindale, Chuck Coyne & his wife Paula of Marlborough & Catherine Tucker of Alexandria, VA. Brother of William Coyne of Woburn and the late Randall Coyne & Mary Komich. Also survived by 8 grandchildren & 2 great-grandchildren and many nieces & nephews.
Funeral from the STANTON FUNERAL HOME, 786 Mt. Auburn St. (Rt. 16) Watertown on Thursday at 9:30 A.M. Funeral Mass in Sacred Heart Church Watertown at 10:30 A.M. Relatives and friends respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Wednesday 4-8 P.M. Interment Belmont Cemetery.
Mr. Coyne was a retired Patrolman with the Belmont Police Department and a late US Army Veteran of WWII.
In lieu of flowers, contributions made is Mr. Coyne's memory to the E.N. Rogers Memorial Veterans' Hospital, 200 Springs Road, Bedford, MA 01730 would be appreciated.
