LEXINGTON A graveside service with full military honors and Masonic rites for Charles Ferrell Meetze, 80, will be held 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 1, 2012, at Greenlawn Cemetery. Dunbar Funeral Home, Devine Street Chapel, is assisting the family.
Mr. Meetze died Sunday, January 29, 2012. Born October 16, 1931, in West Columbia, he was a son of the late Berley Jessie and Fronnie Etaw Hook Meetze. He was a loving father and grandfather and enjoyed spending time with his "three girls". He retired with 20 years of service from the U.S. Navy and retired as a Lieutenant after 26 years of service from the Lexington County Sheriff's Department. Mr. Meetze was a member of the Cayce Masonic Lodge.
Surviving are daughters, Debra (Mark) Thorndike, Terri L. Meetze, both of Lexington; granddaughter, April (Patrick) Blake, of Cayce; sisters, Irene Meetze Kyzer and Betty L. Barefoot, both of West Columbia.
