Charles Henry Maurin passed away peacefully April 21,2011, surrounded by his family.
Charles was born January 10, 1926 to Henry and Louise Reynauld Maurin in Edgemont Utah.
He attended schools in Provo and graduated from Lincoln High school and later proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He married Afton Depew December 1, 1948. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Manti Temple.
Charlie earned his living as a well known and trusted mechanic, however his greatest enjoyment and love was operating his cattle ranch.
He is survived by: his wife of 64 years; son, Gary (Val) Maurin; daughters, Karen (Lynn) Clayson, Michelle (Jeff) Girot; 11 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. Grandpa was eagerly awaiting the arrival of twin great granddaughters this fall. Charles was preceded in death by: his parents; brother,Albert; sisters, Ellen, Sylvia; two Sons Dennis, Ronnie and grandson Anthony.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 27,2011 at 11:00 am, in the West Mountain 4th Ward, 3 miles West of Payson on Utah Ave. Friends may call at the Walker Mortuary, 587 South 100 West, Payson, Tuesday, 6-8:00 p.m. or at the church Wednesday, 9:45-10:45 a.m.Interment will be at the Santaquin City Cemetary with Military Rites accorded by the Santaquin American Legion, Post #84.
