Mr. Charles Henry Rienks, 65, of 25 Cleveland Ave. Waynesboro, died Wednesday, November 23, 2011 in the Meritus Medical Center, Hagerstown. Born February 17, 1946, he was the son of the late Lyman Rienks and Dena (Berkhout) Rienks. Mr. Rienks worked over 30 years for Grove Manufacturing Company. He served in the United States Army. He was a responsible, sincere man who enjoyed hunting and spending time with his children, their families and friends. He is survived by three children: daughter, Dena Debrick and her husband, Roland, Waynesboro, son, Chuck Rienks and his companion, Linda Clopper, Greencastle, daughter, Darla Barkdoll and her husband, Todd, Waynesboro; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild, one sister, Diane Summers and her husband, Danny, Chambersburg; his former wife, Nancy J. Rienks and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his longtime companion, Phillis Kay Baker, and one brother, Jim Rienks. Family will receive friends from 1:00 P.M. to 3:00 P.M., Saturday, December 3, 2011 in Grove-Bowersox Funeral Home, 50 S. Broad Street, Waynesboro, in remembrance for the lives of both, Charles H. Rienks and his companion, Phyllis Kay Baker, who passed away January 29, 2009. Burial will follow for both, in Green Hill Cemetery, with military graveside honors for Mr. Rienks, conducted by the Charles Nitterhouse VFW Post 1599.
