CHARLES JAROME STOKES, age 59, passed away on Sunday, May 5, 2013 at his home in Manassas, Virginia.

He was born on August 2, 1953 in Newnan, Georgia to the late Rayford Beadles and Lugenia Stokes. Charles was a U.S. Army Veteran and a mail handler for the U.S. Postal Service.

Survivors include his loving wife of 27 years, Bonita J. Stokes of Manassas, VA; his mother: Lugenia Stokes of Brockton, MA; six children: Stacey Porter and husband James of Somerset, NJ, Jennifer Jones and husband Troy of Boston, MA, Charles Stokes, Jr. of Brockton, MA, Nakia Stokes of Brockton, MA, Shawn Stokes of Brockton, MA and Charmekia Stokes of Manassas, VA; eight siblings: Jennifer Cherry and husband Douglas of Boston, MA, Francine Bernard of Chelsea, MA, Raymond Trammel and wife Claudia of East Bridgewater, MA, William Trammel of Roxbury, MA, Glenn Trammel and wife Jaycee of New Hampshire, Victoria Trammel of Brockton, MA, Eugene Harris of Roxbury, MA and Catherine Ferrell of Newnan, GA; 12 grandchildren: Breanna Parks, James Stokes, Nakia Stokes, Nauja Stokes, DeShawna Stokes, Kunthary Stokes, Shawna Stokes, Jordan Porter, Shawn Stokes, Cameron Porter, Ivianna Martin and Charles Stokes, III. Also surviving are a host of nieces, nephews and godchildren.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, May 10, 2013 at 11:00 AM at Pierce Funeral Home, 9609 Center Street, Manassas, VA with Minister Carolyn Armstead officiating.
