He always had a ready smile and a twinkle in his eye. He will be missed. My sincere condolences.

I am so sorry to hear that Mr. Pierson has gone to be with Jesus. I know he was ready, as we often talked about our faith. I loved spending two hours each week with Charlie, and I will always remember his faith and his love for his family. I am sorry, but I cannot attend the visitation or the funeral because of work conflicts.

He was a hero to lots of people, and I learned to appreciate his sacrafice during WW II, and he knew those who did not come back, make the bigger sacrafice. We shared prayers together, our love for family, and many other common interests and concerns. I thoroughly enjoyed taking care of his household duties and shopping for him. Please share my thoughts with family and friends, as I probably spent more time with him over the past year, than many of his family and friends. He often spoke so lovingly of his family, especially his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He loved them all. I will always remember our special time together.

I will miss seeing and speaking with Charlie on Sunday. However, I know we will speak again - so until then, farewell comrade in arms! I salute you.

I can't believe he is gone. He was the best. I always could talk to him & he was never judgemental. Even when I was a teenager, we always could talk. He was so kind, so sweet, so funny, so great with the kids. That's his legacy.

I remember Grandpa giving us banana spilts and Grandma using to yell at his to not make us hyper with tons of sugar. Suffice to say...Grandpa did it anyways. :) I'll miss him but I know he's with my mom (Sara) and probably at the Casino. :)

There are few things more difficult than dealing with the loss of a loved one.
