Charles K. Layne, 58, of Ironton, passed away Friday, October 19, 2012 at Kings Daughter Medical Center in Ashland, Kentucky. The Ironton, Ohio native was born July 22, 1954, the son of the late Homer and Thelma Layne.
Charles attended Rock Hill High School, He was self-employed as a carpenter and loved to fish, Hunt mushrooms and go hunting with his boys. He was of the Baptist faith.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by:
a brother: Jerry Layne
Grandparents: Bill and Minnie Layne, Burnard McMackin and Mary Jane Perry
He is survived by:
His wife: Alicia (Misner) Layne of Ironton, OH
2 sons: Tyler and Jesse Layne
4 brothers: Richard and Diane Layne of Haverhill, OH, Paul and Sylvia Layne of Pulaski, TN, Terry and Marion Layne of Ironton, OH, and Mike and Lisa Layne of Mt. Pleasant, TN
4 sisters: Janet and Buddy Deason of Waverly, TN, Patty and Tim Geswein of Ironton, OH, Brenda Layne and Buck of Ironton, OH, and Becky Layne and Tony of Ironton, OH.
3 brother and sister-in laws: Mary and Tim Thompson of Ironton, OH, Tim and Diana Misner of Fox River Grove, IL, and Michael Misner of Ironton, OH.
2 special nieces: Victoria and Katelyn
Many more aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends whom he loved.
Funeral services will be 1:00P.M, Monday, October 22, 2012, at Phillips Funeral Home, 1004 South Seventh Street, Ironton, Ohio. Burial will follow in Etna Cemetery and visitation will Monday from 11:00A.M.until the time of the service at the funeral home.
