Charles W. Johnson, 83, of Hamilton, passed away Tuesday at Lawrenceville Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Born in Cullman, Alabama, he has been a resident of the Hamilton area for many years. Chuck retired as a Chief Master Sergeant in the United States Air Force after 22 ½ years of service. He was a life member of the Air Force Association (AFA), National Rifle Association (NRA), Air Force Sergeants Association (AFSA) and VFW Post 3525. He was also a member of the Hamilton Patriotic Committee, the American Legion Post 31 and he was also a Cubmaster and Scoutmaster with the Boys Scouts of America. He was a former member of the Hamilton Elks, Lodge 2262. Predeceased by his parents, Charlie and Claudie Johnson; his sisters, Mildred, Ella Mae and Pauline; he is survived by his loving wife, Marcy, of 54 years; his son, Michael and his sisters-in-law, Pat Beadle and Janet Halbrooks. Funeral service and burial will be held at 11:30am on Tuesday at the Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery, North Hanover, NJ. Family and friends may call from 2pm to 4pm on Sunday at the Saul Colonial Home, 3795 Nottingham Way, Hamilton, NJ.
